Buriram man arrested for selling cannabis in space-themed room

A 25 year old man from Buriram was apprehended for selling cannabis from his home, which featured a space-themed room for customers. He ordered supplies from Bangkok and reportedly earned an average of 60,000 to 80,000 baht per month.
Yesterday, February 24, police from the Nang Rong district in Buriram, in collaboration with district administration and public health officials, executed a search warrant at a residence following reports of illegal kratom and cannabis sales.
Inside the home, police discovered cannabis buds, a digital scale, a chopping board, and two bongs.
Additionally, they found a room designed to resemble a space environment, intended for customers to enjoy their cannabis in a unique setting.
Chonnat, the 25 year old involved, admitted that the cannabis and smoking paraphernalia, as well as strong cough syrup, were his.
He revealed that he bought the items online from Bangkok to resell to cannabis enthusiasts.

He designed and constructed the space-themed room to enhance the experience for customers who wished to smoke cannabis in an imaginative setting.
Although he had attempted to obtain a legal permit from the relevant officials to sell cannabis products, his application was not approved, reported KhaoSod.
Despite this, he pursued online purchases to sell over the past four months, generating an average monthly income of 60,000 to 80,000 baht (US$1,785 to 2,380). His customer base included both in-person buyers and online orders.
In similar news, Child and Women’s Welfare Division officers arrested a 32 year old woman for selling cannabis products online for over five years, earning a profit of approximately 1 million baht per month.
The arrest took place following a search at her residence in the Khlong Chao Khun Sing subdistrict, Wang Thonglang district, Bangkok, and at her cannabis dispensary, also in Bangkok.
The operation, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Phanrampha Phattanawat, resulted in the seizure of 59 items, including shisha, electronic cigarettes, and firearms.
