Harmony in Motion at Chulalongkorn University

Craving for some music, dance, or a unique night out? Then Harmony in Motion: Ballet with Om and Friends at Chulalongkorn University is for you.
It’s a mix of ballet and tango, with live music by a piano quintet. They’re performing pieces from Romeo and Juliet by Prokofiev and Tchaikovsky, plus selections from Spartacus by Khachaturian. All of it has been specially arranged by Morakot Cherdchoo-ngarm.
The second half shifts gears to tango, with Piazzolla’s Libertango and two movements from The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.
The musicians are top-notch too. Graeme Norris and Omporn Kowintha are on violins, with Miti Wisuthumporn on viola, Jonathan Weigle on cello, and Akkra Yeunyonghattaporn on piano. Dancers Fahsai Thaweesak and Chanakarn Panpijit will bring it all to life on stage.
Sin Bites & Silky Sin at Sucette Bar

Shapesifting Spaces at Bangkok Kunsthalle

If you’re into thought-provoking visual art, make sure to check out ‘Shapeshifting Spaces: stretched by the desires within them’ at Bangkok Kunsthalle. The event, which will run until February 27, kicks off this Friday, so it’s perfect if you don’t have any plans yet!
Curated by Rosalia Namsai Engchuan, the program brings together works by a stellar lineup of artists, including Surapong Pinijkhar, Ming Wong, Doug Aitken, and Lawrence Lek.
It’s a fascinating mix of moving images that explore themes of place, identity, and the future. The journey begins with intimate glimpses of Chinatown in Sampeng (The Chinatown Montage) before turning to the speculative, tech-heavy landscapes of Lek’s SimBeijing in Black Cloud.
The continuous one-hour-thirty-two-minute loop will be projected on a single screen from Wednesday to Sunday, 2pm to 8pm.
Booktroverts at The Commons Thonglor

Drum and bass heads, this one’s for you. Jungle Jam BKK is throwing an unmissable party to celebrate 35 years of Formation Records. Yes, it’s the label that’s been at the core of jungle and drum and bass.
The line-up is pure fire. Grooverider, the godfather of the genre, takes the decks alongside Formation Records boss DJ SS. Adding to the hype, MC Toddlah and MC Ell Gee will keep the energy sky-high.
