39 new Covid-19 cases were reported today in the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration’s daily briefing. Thailand now has 1,366 active cases. Since the start of the pandemic, the CCSA has reported a total of 28,773 coronavirus infections and 94 deaths.

Out of the 39 new cases, 16 were local transmissions linked to high risk areas including Bangkok, Samut Sakhon, Kalasin and Maha Sarakham. The case in Kalasin is the first in the province in several months. A CCSA spokesperson says the woman had recently visited a friend in Bangkok’s Bang Khae district, where a cluster of infections was reported.

12 cases were detected through active case finding in Bangkok, Samut Sakhon and Ratachaburi. The other 11 cases were detected in quarantine for those arriving to Thailand from overseas.

Thaiger continues with cut and paste govt propaganda.

How about asking these 3 short questions of CCSA:

    – how many of the ‘cases’ were asymptomatic?
    – how many of the ‘cases’ had only mild symptoms?
    – what is the cycle count for the PCR tests Thailand runs?

I doubt they would ever give you a straight and simple answer, but at least try and report that you tried. Then this paper could appear to not be a propaganda lapdog – woof woof.

The Thaiger may well have shortcomings in its reporting, but asking asinine questions would achieve nothing.

To answer your questions – again:

    1. Who cares? It makes no difference to the source, locality or fatality, which is all those with a functioning braincell and a normal interest want to know and is newsworthy.

Most people who know what day of the week it is are already well aware by now of how likely various demographics are to be asymptomatic, symptomatic with mild symptoms, severe symptoms, etc., so what matters most is source, location, and fatalities – not extraneous minor details.

    You’re not? No surprise.

    2. See 1.

    3. You’d be no better informed if you knew since the required and maximum rates vary depending on the test manufacturers’ specs, so as usual you’re just blowing uninformed hot air.

As long as the tests are within manufacturers’ specs, wanting to know the PCR cycle rate is no less absurd than wanting to know when a set of scales was last calibrated.

Simply moronic, following the conspiracy line like a sheep without even questioning it.

    Baa baa.
