Thai woman apologises after exposing private parts in tattoo contest
Contestant blames alcohol for reckless dancing on stage
A Thai woman issued a public apology after exposing her private parts during a tattoo contest in Saraburi province on Saturday, November 8.
An explicit video of the female contestant circulated on Thai social media on Monday, November 10, sparking criticism both against the woman and the event organisers. The two-day event, held from November 7 and 8, marked the third year of the contest.
The woman in the video participated in the female tattoo contest. The viral footage showed her wearing a revealing black dress while dancing on stage in front of participants and judges.
Her dress did not cover the lower half of her body, and she was not wearing underwear, resulting in her private parts being visible during the performance.
Following the competition, the official Facebook page of the event announced that the woman won second runner-up, receiving a cash prize of 2,000 baht.

Netizens criticised the reward, claiming it was not worth the damage to her image and reputation. Many also condemned the other participants and organiser for failing to intervene during the explicit performance and for sharing the video on social media. They commented…
“This is not a tattoo contest at all.”
“She should at least cover herself.”
“What about a G-string? She could still show her tattoos with some underwear on.”
Many members of the public called on relevant government departments to take action. Some demanded legal punishment for both the woman and the organisers, while others urged the event to be cancelled next year.
Under pressure, the woman issued a public clarification and apology. She explained that she had placed a cover sticker over her private parts, which she believed may have fallen off before her performance.

The woman admitted drinking heavily prior to the contest, saying this led to reckless behaviour. She apologised for the incident and urged netizens not to criticise the organisers, emphasising that the team was not involved in her actions.
Following a similar incident, the woman may be charged under Section 388 of the Criminal Law: exposing herself in public place, which results in a fine of up to 5,000 baht.
As of now, the organisers have not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
