The 55 year old taxi driver, Suchart, shared his ordeal at 3pm yesterday, August 19, with an online news outlet. He typically drives his taxi throughout the day and parks it at night. On the night of the incident, unable to sleep, he decided to visit his usual herbal alcohol shop near Rangsit Station.

Upon arrival, Suchart ordered his usual drink and remained there until closing time. He then went for a walk when a group of individuals approached him, inviting him to join them. Suchart declined their invitation, which seemed to displease them, possibly because they saw him paying for his drink.

They then demanded money from him, suggesting he pay for a room in exchange for the company of some women. After he refused again, they told him to leave, but Suchart returned to his seat.
