A group of first-year vocational college students riding motorcycles home encountered a terrifying attack by six teenagers wielding knives, leaving two injured. The incident took place at 5pm yesterday, May 28, on Suksawat Road in Phra Samut Chedi, Samut Prakan.
Police Lieutenant Sunthorn Pimphan from Phra Samut Chedi Police Station received a report about a group of students being attacked with knives, resulting in injuries. Upon arrival, a 15 year old male student from the electrical department of a vocational college was found with a severe knife wound on his back. Rescue personnel provided initial first aid before transporting him to the hospital.
Another victim of the stabbing, a 16 year old student had already been taken to the hospital by friends after sustaining a head injury. The attackers fled on motorcycles and remain at large despite police broadcast efforts for their interception and capture.
Eyewitnesses reported that the injured students were riding three motorcycles with five people when they were chased and provoked by the attackers, who were also on three motorcycles with two passengers each.
Each attacker was armed with a sword or machete. The injured students’ motorcycles lost control and fell, leading to the attackers catching up and inflicting injuries. The remaining students managed to escape.
