Second storm warning for upper Thailand this summer

The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) issued a second warning regarding summer storms expected to affect upper Thailand from tomorrow, April 26 to Thursday, May 1. This announcement highlights the potential for thunderstorms, strong winds, hail, and heavy rainfall in some areas.
The storms are anticipated due to a moderate high-pressure system from China moving over Vietnam and the South China Sea, combined with hot to very hot weather in upper Thailand. Residents in these areas are advised to be cautious of the storms and heavy rainfall, avoiding travel through storm-affected areas and regions prone to repeated flooding.
Flooding risks are especially high in low-lying areas with drainage limitations, potentially leading to temporary water accumulation.
Precautionary measures include avoiding open spaces, large trees, unstable structures, and billboards. Farmers are encouraged to reinforce fruit trees and prepare to protect agricultural produce and livestock from potential damage while maintaining health amidst changing weather conditions, reported KhaoSod.
