Prasit, who denies all charges, is being held for further questioning. His financial troubles are suspected to be a motive, as he stood to gain funeral compensation upon his father’s death.

Authorities are also investigating Prasit’s involvement in the previous year’s murder of his sister, Sa-arn, adding another layer to the case. Witnesses, including Prasit’s mother, Kleuab, confirmed his involvement in both incidents.

The police are holding Prasit while seeking legal representation for him due to the severity of the charges, which could lead to the death penalty. Meanwhile, Prasit’s daughter attempted to visit him this morning but was turned away due to visiting hours.

She expressed uncertainty about her father’s involvement, citing their lack of recent contact as Prasit now lives with his new wife in the Khao Tok subdistrict, reported Khaosod.

The investigation continues as authorities work to piece together evidence linking Prasit to the recent and past family tragedies.
