An Indian man in Samut Prakarn province, near Bangkok, is seeking justice after his Thai wife heartlessly demanded a divorce and expelled him from their home. He acknowledged that he was aware she had deceived him for money but he loved her enough to tolerate it.

Chaos erupted at Mueang Samut Prakarn Police Station yesterday, September 3, due to a heated argument between the Indian-Thai couple. The 52 year old Indian man, Radej, asked the police to intervene in the matter with his Thai wife.

Radej explained that his wife, 53 year old Nuch, wanted a divorce and kicked him out of their shared home. The only thing she allowed him to take was an old fridge. He had nowhere to go and was unprepared for the divorce.

The heartbroken Indian man went on to share that he fell in love with Nuch when they first met at a temple. He said Nuch was beautiful, friendly, and good-natured. They entered into a relationship before Radej knew that his wife had four children with her ex-husband.

Radej said he loved her and dedicated all of his heart to her, so he chose to overlook the matter. He took the best care of his wife and his stepchildren but she changed. She no longer loved him, did not care for him, and eventually demanded a divorce.

Nuch asked him to leave the home but would not do so, claiming she was suffering from a mental illness and he felt responsible for caring for her.

Nuch gave her side of the story in an interview with One 31 news agency, saying she wanted to break up with Radej because he used vulgar language with her and did not like her four children.

They argued over the children many times before, so she decided to end the relationship. Nuch also insisted that she did not have a mental illness, as Radej claimed.

With the police acting as mediators, the couple finally agreed that all of the valuables belonged to Radej, except for the house and a plot of land. Radej agreed to leave the house but insisted that he would never sign the divorce papers.

Radej asked the media to convey his message to his wife.

“I love my wife very much, even if she deceived me but I was always willing to let it happen. I was happy throughout the time we were together.”
