A 33 year old logistics operator from Satara, India, found himself in hot water at Mumbai International Airport. Immigration officials detained the Indian man just before he could board a flight to Thailand, uncovering his audacious attempt to conceal past trips from his wife.

Tushar Pawar’s arrest followed the discovery that he had tampered with 12 pages of his passport, glueing them together to hide previous travel records to Bangkok. Sahar Airport police quickly took Pawar into custody under the charge of violating the Indian Passport Act.

“Pawar was travelling on an official trip to Thailand with a client when we detained him. During interrogation, he admitted to glueing the pages of his passport to keep his wife in the dark about his prior trips to Thailand in 2023 and 2024.”

The immigration official who flagged Pawar’s suspicious passport, AS Mittal, reported that pages 3 to 10 and 17 to 20 were glued together. When asked for an explanation, Pawar confessed that he had travelled with friends and wanted to avoid his wife’s wrath.
