Bangkok police gets medical training to enhance emergency skills

The Police Hospital in Bangkok is enhancing the tactical medical skills of officers through a comprehensive training programme. The initiative aims to increase the capabilities of police in handling tactical medical emergencies.

The training, known as Police Tactical Emergency Care (PTEC), involves 240 officers, divided into four groups of 60. The primary goal of this programme is to equip police officers with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively manage tactical injuries.

This training seeks to boost confidence in the unit’s preparedness and proficiency of Bangkok police, ensuring that personnel are well-trained and knowledgeable. Participants include officers from the Metropolitan Police Bureau, specifically divisions responsible for protection and crowd control.

The training sessions are conducted at the multipurpose building on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road, a strategic location for the officers involved. The initiative is an effort to enhance the tactical medical readiness of the police force.

Upon concluding the training, the Centre for Evacuation and Ambulance Services at the Police Hospital will provide 240 Individual First Aid Kits (IFAKs) to the Metropolitan Police Bureau.
