Russian woman falls to death from Bangkok condo
A tragic incident unfolded in the Phaya Thai district of Bangkok when a 24 year old Russian woman, Maria, fell to her death from the 37th floor of a condominium. The heartbreaking event occurred around 3.07pm yesterday, December 2, prompting an immediate response from local police.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found the lifeless body of the Russian woman, Maria, on the street beside the building. She was wearing a green short-sleeved t-shirt and black pants.
Emergency medical teams confirmed her death. The police began an investigation, assisted by forensic experts and a translator to communicate with the victim’s boyfriend.
Maria’s boyfriend, Nikita, a 39 year old Russian man, was found in a state of shock inside their apartment on the 37th floor. He was reportedly crying uncontrollably, and the police immediately brought in a Russian interpreter to assist with questioning.
According to the initial investigation, Maria and Nikita had been living in the condominium for only 15 days, having rented the unit on a yearly lease. The night before the tragedy, neighbours reported hearing loud arguing between the couple.
Surveillance footage from the building showed no sign of anyone else entering their unit, and the area from where Maria fell had no cameras, leaving the circumstances of her fall unclear, reported KhaoSod.
The police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the tragic incident. They are waiting to complete further questioning of Nikita to shed light on the events leading up to Maria’s fall.
