TAT launches three-city roadshow in Indonesia

Thailand is turning up the heat on its tourism campaign in Indonesia with an exciting new initiative. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is bringing its Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024 to three Indonesian cities (Medan, Jakarta, and Bali) in a bid to solidify its spot as the top holiday destination for Indonesian travellers.

Kicking off tomorrow, September 19, in Medan, the roadshow aims to strengthen travel ties between the two countries. According to Sirinard Chatsupakul, Director of TAT’s Jakarta Office, the event is a prime opportunity for Thai tourism suppliers to meet Indonesian travel agents.

“The Amazing Thailand Road Show to Indonesia 2024 is an important business-to-business marketplace. We aim to showcase a multitude of exceptional travel experiences in Thailand and encourage Indonesians to explore the kingdom.”

The roadshow, packed with a delegation of 18 Thai tourism suppliers, including hotels, airlines, and tour operators, will continue in Jakarta today, before wrapping up in Bali on Friday, September 20. With over 100 Indonesian travel agents expected to participate, the event promises thrilling updates, B2B sessions, and even a banquet with lucky draws.

In 2023, over 760,000 Indonesian visitors flocked to the kingdom, with 2024 expected to hit a record-breaking 900,000, reported Travel Daily News.
