Car crashes into Suphan Buri supermarket, injuring two
Shoppers flee in panic as vehicle barrels through store

An unexpected incident occurred when a car suddenly accelerated into a well-known supermarket in the Pho Phra Ya market, Mueang district, Suphan Buri province, yesterday, May 5, causing significant damage and injuring two people. Police and emergency services arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
Upon arrival, approximately ten supermarket employees were visibly shaken. The store’s left-front window was shattered, and a white Mazda with the registration number กข 1487 from Nakhon Sawan had crashed inside.
The vehicle’s front was severely damaged, and various store items were destroyed, including cosmetic shelves, consumer goods, cash registers, and other merchandise.
Kanokwan, a staff member, recounted that she was making coffee when she heard a loud crash, initially mistaking it for an earthquake. Turning around, she saw the car crashed inside the store.
Employees quickly assisted customers and the driver. A 60 year old customer was injured after being struck by a shelf, while another employee sustained minor injuries.

The driver, a woman accompanied by three friends, later met the police at the station. She explained that she intended to park and buy coffee but panicked when the accelerator got stuck, leading to the crash.
The Mueang Suphan Buri police are conducting a thorough investigation to pursue legal action, reported KhaoSod.
In similar news, a Thai woman and her young son had a narrow escape after a 64 year old driver crashed her car into a bakery in Samut Prakan, just outside Bangkok.
CCTV footage of the dramatic incident quickly circulated on Thai social media, with viewers relieved to learn that both the employee of Bakerlicious bakery and her son were unharmed. The crash occurred at 8.39am on March 24.
The video shows the woman cleaning inside the shop as her son walks toward her. Just moments after the boy passed through the entrance, a grey sedan suddenly slammed into the store, smashing the glass door and colliding with a central product shelf.
