Woman shot dead in car, suspect identified, negotiations ongoing
A 35 year old woman was shot dead in her car by the roadside. The police identified the gunman as a 26 year old man, and are negotiating his surrender. Residents reported seeing the suspect flee into a house in Sai Buri district, Pattani.
Yesterday, August 20, officials were alerted to a shooting incident resulting in one fatality in the Taluban area of Sai Buri district, Pattani. Responding swiftly, the police reached the scene to investigate.
At the location, the body of the deceased woman was found inside a vehicle. She had sustained wounds to her forehead and right chest. Officials transported her body to Somdej Phra Yupparat Sai Buri Hospital for an autopsy, reported KhaoSod.
Witnesses at the scene reported that after the shooting, the suspect fled into his residence in Taluban. The gunman, identified as Ek, was known to the local community. Police are currently negotiating with Ek to surrender to the Sai Buri Police Station for further investigation and legal proceedings.
