A man accused of robbing a branch of the Thai Military Bank in Bangkok has been arrested after CCTV showed him counting the money just 300 metres from the scene of the crime. The Pattaya News reports that 35 year old Kanchanok Srisawat is accused of robbing 416,000 baht from the bank in the Vacharaphon area of the capital on Thursday afternoon.

CCTV footage shows the man entering the bank wearing black trousers, a camouflage short, a black hat and a face mask. He then produced a gun and forced an employee to fill a bag with the cash. After fleeing the scene, he was again captured on CCTV as he counted the money by Siripong Thamanimit temple, metres from the bank. Police tracked him down 6 hours later to a rental property at Thanom Mitr Park, where he was arrested and taken into custody.

It’s understood the suspect has admitted to the robbery, telling officers that he was sacked from his job 3 months ago and has accumulated a lot of debt due to a gambling addiction. At the time of his arrest, it’s understood he had already gambled away 16,000 baht of the money stolen from the bank.

Top bit of detective work by the keystone’s.

“a camouflage short”. Yes, creative writing at its best. Proofreading please.

I know she meant shirt, but still.

A bit petty, I think we all understood what was meant.

And, you should have said, “I knew she meant shirt…”

Or “I know she means shirt…”

      But still eh?

      Glass houses etc?

        “glass houses”?

“I know she meant shirt” may well be grammatically correct since Shane S may not have known that on first reading it but checked the photo to make sure.

“Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones” is a proverb used in several European countries. It means that “One who is vulnerable to criticism regarding a certain issue should not criticize others about the same issue.”

Maybe you are right regarding the past/present context but it was still petty for Shane to point out the obvious.
