And if food isn’t enough to get you moving, there are plenty of parties happening all over Bangkok. Plus, Christmas cheer is everywhere right now, so it’s the perfect excuse to soak up some holiday magic early.

Christmas Celebrations at Siam Yacht Club 2024

For an exceptional Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner, make your way to Siam Yacht Club Bangkok. You’ll be treated to a seven-course set menu, which begins with a little amuse bouche, crispy crab cannelloni, to tease your taste buds.
Then, tuck into the delicious tuna tataki for starters. After that, there’s a refreshing salad with juicy peach slices and crispy bacon tossed in a honey lemon vinaigrette. Oh, and they’re also serving oysters dressed up with green apple, Nippon cucumber, and Chardonnay balsamic vinegar. How fresh does that sound?
Before the main course, the chefs at Siam Yacht Club have prepared lychee sorbet to cleanse your palate. And then comes the main event. Opt for the poached lobster tail if you want to taste the ocean, or if you’re a beef lover, you can go for the Wagyu beef Wellington. Dessert is just as creative as the rest of the meal: strawberry rhubarb with a mascarpone chocolate cremeux, a tomato sponge, and a crunchy almond streusel.

If you’re looking for something fun (and seriously delicious) to end 2024, the Hidden Gem Food Festival: Hidden Taste of Nation is where it’s at.
At River Park, ICONSIAM, they’re bringing together signature dishes from six amazing Thai street food restaurants featured in the Hidden Gem documentary series. You might’ve seen it on the Asian Food Network or international channels. Plus, they’ve got over 20 more incredible street food spots from all over Thailand joining in. It’s street food heaven, with live music, drinks, and some awesome performances.
If you’re feeling fancy, then check out the Hidden Gem of Artisans zone at Pimarn Terrace (8th floor, ICONSIAM). It’s a more exclusive fine-dining experience with stunning river views. Chef Nick Nattapol Pawapaiboon has crafted a special menu inspired by twelve Thai food heroes from the Hidden Gem series.
Thailand Rice Fest

Thailand Rice Fest 2024 is here! It’s the ultimate celebration of Thai rice, and it’s honestly the perfect excuse to eat and explore. And if you’re a curious soul, there’ll be fascinating stories about rice that you probably haven’t heard before.
Be sure to stop by Central Tham Pavilion while you’re there. You’ll find 19 unique rice varieties sourced from 10 communities across eight provinces. They’ve got some fun promos going on, too. If you buy a few rice products, you can snag cool freebies like an exclusive shopping bag or apron. And if you go all in and buy 19, they’ll even give you a gift hamper!
Thailand Coffee Fest

While you’re visiting the Thailand Rice Fest in Hall 6, don’t forget to stop by Hall 5 for the Thailand Coffee Fest. It’s the biggest coffee event in Southeast Asia, brought to life by the Specialty Coffee Association of Thailand and The Cloud.
In addition to celebrating and supporting the country’s coffe journey, it also connects farmers, roasters, baristas, and coffee loverrs to help the industry grow sustainably.
There’s plenty of exciting things to see. At the Champions Village zone, you’ll get to meet world-renowned coffee experts like Boram Um (World Barista Champion 2023), Martin Wölfl (World Brewers Cup Champion 2024), and Te-Ekamet Wiphawasut (World AeroPress Champion 2023). They’ll be sharing their skills and stories on stage, alongside other incredible baristas.
If you’re curious about the world of coffee, the Coffee Stage zone will feature insightful discussions and trend updates from industry pros. Meanwhile, the Coffee Club by SCATH zone is perfect for exploring specialty coffee. Here, you can take part in workshops, get brewing advice, join coffee tastings, and check out the Thailand Es Yen Championship 2025, which is a competition to crown the best cold espresso brewer in the region.
TECHNO Pool Party at Novotel Platinum Bangkok

Sergei Nakariakov, who’s an incredible trumpet soloist, will be performing Arutiunian’s Trumpet Concerto with the Royal Bangkok Symphony Orchestra at the Thailand Cultural Centre Main Hall. Dr Vanich Potavanich, their principal conductor, will be leading the show.
Nakariakov is known for his amazing technique, and this piece is perfect for showing it off. It’s going to be one of those performances that’s both powerful and really moving. If you’re free, it’s definitely worth checking out

There’s a fascinating exhibition at JWD Art Space called The Mansion of Plates by Yuree Kensaku, running until 16 March 2025. Her work explores women’s struggles and resilience through cultural myths and folklore, blending vibrant anime-inspired visuals with deeper social critiques.
The exhibition features iconic figures like Medusa, Mae Nak, and even Lisa from Blackpink, reimagined as symbols of empowerment and resistance. Kensaku’s bold style tackles how stories from history and pop culture shape perceptions of women.
While you have plenty of time to see it, don’t miss the opening reception this Wednesday, December 18.
