PM Prayut tests negative after parliament maid has Covid-19

PM Prayut Chan-o-cha was tested for Covid-19 this morning after being exposed to someone with an infection, but was confirmed negative for the virus. The prime minister and close aides were all tested for Covid-19 after it was discovered that a maid working in a reception room at parliament had tested positive for the virus. All those tested came back with negative test results.
The scare came after it was confirmed yesterday that the maid who had been working in the cabinet ministers’ reception room at parliament had tested for Covid-19 and the test came back positive.
On June 9, the House had convened to debate 2022 Budget Bill as well as discuss the executive decree granting the Finance Ministry authority to dedicate another 500 billion baht in loans to dealing with the Covid-19 pandemic. During that meeting attended by PM Prayut and his aides, the maid who was later diagnosed with having a Covid-19 infection was on duty and working in the room.
PM Prayut was tested for Covid-19 as he arrived at Government House this morning. Along with the prime minister, his staff and security detail also received Covid-19 tests. Everybody who was tested this morning received the good news that they did not have a Covid-19 infection, despite exposure to the infected maid.
