Pervy London cop pleads guilty to dozens of rape and assault offenses

A pervy London cop is drawing outrage after pleading guilty to dozens of rapes and assaults, news outlets reported yesterday. The pervy cop, 48 year old David Carrick, pleaded guilty to 49 offences, including 24 rapes.

Other charges included assault, attempted rape, and false imprisonment in connection to the attacks, and coercive and controlling behaviour. Carrick committed his heinous crimes over a 17 year period, between 2003 and 2020.

Carrick admitted he whipped one woman with a belt, urinated on some of his victims, locked some victims in his house without food, and forced some victims to clean his house naked.

The Assistant Commissioner of the London Metropolitan Police said…

“We should have spotted his pattern of abusive behaviour and because we didn’t, we missed opportunities to remove him from the organisation. We are truly sorry that being able to continue to use his role as a police officer may have prolonged the suffering of his victims.”

The Met’s Commissioner Mark Rowley said…

“I apologise to all of David Carrick’s victims. We have failed. I’m sorry.”

Carrick was suspended from duty when he was arrested in 2021. He is unfortunately not the first Met officer to commit disturbing crimes in the past few years.

Only six months earlier, another Met police officer, Wayne Couzens, raped and murdered 33 year old Sarah Everard, sending shockwaves across the UK and the globe. Wayne kidnapped Sarah in south London on March 3, 2022, as she was walking home from a friend’s house. Couzens is now serving a life sentence.

London’s Metropolitan Police are now investigating as many as 1000 sex offences and domestic abuse claims involving approximately 800 of its officers, Rowley admitted on Monday.

In September, Rowley vowed to “go after the racists and misogynists who are undermining us.”

Rowley told BBC yesterday that while he had tens of thousands of fantastic employees, he also had “hundreds who shouldn’t be there.”
