Tragedy strikes after man’s fatal fall from Pattaya hotel
A tragic scene unfolded at a hotel on Sukhumvit Road, Na Jomtien when a shocking accident saw a man fatally fall to his death. At precisely 9.50pm on November 2, Police Colonel Watthanachai Saengrit, the head honcho of Na Jomtien Police Station, received the alarming news.
Wasting no time, he dashed to the scene, joined by medics from Wat Yan Sangwararam Hospital and the prompt Sattahip Rescue Foundation.
Upon arrival, the police and emergency services were met with a distressing sight: a 52 year old Thai man, known only as Komkansorn lay sprawled on the ground, his condition critical.
Clad in a black short-sleeved shirt and matching shorts, his body bore the brutal evidence of his fall: severe facial wounds, a nasty head gash, and both legs twisted and shattered beyond recognition, with a pool of blood marking the tragic spot.
Rushed to Chon Buri Hospital, hopes were dim, and sadly, the injuries were insurmountable. The news broke today that he had succumbed to the severe trauma.
Pattaya Mail reported that friends of the ill-fated guest painted a grim picture of the hours leading to the horrific event. They disclosed he was in town attending a seminar and had been enjoying drinks.
When the night drew to a close, his friends headed back to their rooms, only to witness the unthinkable: Komkansorn had plunged from the seventh floor. Desperately they called in the emergency service but tragedy had already struck, sealing his fate before the night was through.
In related news, Pattaya police responded to a tragic incident involving a fatal fall at a hotel in the Nong Prue area at 7am on October 19. Rescue teams found an unidentified woman, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, who had fallen from the fourth floor of the eight-story building.
The window on the fourth floor was open, and the woman was discovered in a garden area at the bottom of the gap between the buildings. She had suffered a severe skull fracture and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body was subsequently moved to a back room of the hotel, with the area cordoned off for further investigation by police.
