The Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) issued a warning about an increase in temperatures by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius across Thailand and a likely rise in PM2.5 toxic dust levels, affecting nearly all regions. The south will experience rain, with residents advised to take health precautions until today, February 6.

The 24-hour weather forecast predicts weakening high-pressure systems over northeast Thailand, leading to higher temperatures and morning fog in the northern regions. Despite the rise in temperature, the north remains cool to cold, with the northeast, central, east, and south experiencing cooler mornings.

Mountain summits are expected to be cold to very cold, with residents encouraged to stay healthy amidst changing weather conditions. Caution is advised when travelling through foggy areas.

Moderate easterly winds are affecting the lower Gulf of Thailand and the south, bringing light rain to some areas. Waves in the lower Gulf are moderate, reaching 1 to 2 metres, and sailors are urged to exercise caution.

The current weather conditions are contributing to dust and haze accumulation in the north, central regions, including Bangkok and its surrounding areas, and the east. The levels are moderate to fairly high, with a tendency to remain stable or increase due to weakening winds.

In the north, the weather is cool to cold with morning fog, temperatures ranging from 15 to 21 degrees Celsius, and highs of 31 to 35 degrees Celsius. Mountain areas will experience very cold conditions with lows between 5 and 15 degrees Celsius. Southeast winds will reach speeds of 5 to 15 kilometres per hour.
