Thai AirAsia crowned Thailand’s punctuality king – again
Thai AirAsia has soared above the competition once more, retaining its title as Thailand’s most on-time airline and securing fifth place in Cirium’s prestigious list of top 10 on-time airlines in the Asia-Pacific region. With a punctuality rate of 77.46%, it’s the only Thai carrier to earn a spot in the rankings.
CEO Santisuk Klongchaiya hailed the achievement as a testament to the airline’s unwavering dedication to operational precision.

Cirium, a globally respected aviation analytics firm, tracks around 3 million flights monthly to deliver reliable data and insights. Its rankings are a benchmark for excellence in the aviation industry, influencing airlines, tourism sectors, and financial services worldwide.
Thai AirAsia’s consistent performance reinforces its reputation as a leader in punctuality, underscoring the airline’s commitment to providing passengers with reliable and efficient travel experiences, reported TTR Weekly.
In September last year, AirAsia took punctuality to new heights with its Thai campaign, Thank You for Being on Time. In a bold move, the airline is not just focusing on its timeliness but celebrating passengers who make punctuality a lifestyle. The campaign, created by the creative agency Chujai, features two heartwarming video spots directed by Thanachai Srivichai.
In a related report, India‘s very own IndiGo emerged as the dark horse, claiming the fourth spot globally in on-time performance for flights, according to a report from January last year from travel data analytics firm Cirium.
Avianca Airlines of Colombia secured the top spot with an impressive 85.73% on-time performance, closely followed by Brazil’s Azul Airlines and Qatar Airways. The global criteria set by the company define a global airline as one serving three regions daily.
All Nippon Airways and Japan Airlines secured the top two positions with on-time performance rates of 82.75% and 82.58% respectively.
