Meanwhile, another suspect tossed two modified, unregistered firearms, along with ammunition, near the vehicle before making a quick getaway.

The driver of the Honda HR-V managed to slip through the net by speeding off in a different direction, leaving police with one suspect in custody.

The captured teen was swiftly taken to Wichit Police Station and now faces serious charges including “jointly possessing firearms and ammunition without permission” and “carrying firearms in a public area without justifiable reason.”

Phuket News reported that the police have collected the discarded weapons and ammunition, marking them as key pieces of evidence in their ongoing investigation. Determined to round up the remaining suspects, the hunt continues for the fugitives, with plans to slap additional charges on them once they are apprehended.

As the search intensifies, Wichit police are keen to send a strong message against illegal firearm possession and the threat it poses to public safety.
