An armed robber struck again at a gold shop in Nakhon Si Thammarat, following the exact pattern of a previous heist. The incident took place close to the store’s closing time, causing panic among employees and shoppers.

The robbery occurred at Yaowarat Gold Shop inside Lotus Department Store in Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat. The assailant, dressed in black and concealing his face with a hood, entered the store alone. He fired a weapon at the gold display case, prompting a frantic response from those present.

The robber seized a quantity of gold jewellery and fled the scene. A security guard attempted to follow and film the escape but backed off due to the suspect’s firearm. The assailant left behind a suspicious device that resembled a bomb. Police later determined it was a fake but initially cordoned off the area to ensure safety.

Blood traces were found at the scene, likely from the robber cutting himself on the glass while grabbing the jewellery. This evidence was collected for DNA comparison.

Police revealed that the suspect’s actions were identical to the previous incident, choosing a time when the store was about to close with fewer people around. The police continue to track the escape route, suspecting the same individual may be responsible for both heists, reported KhaoSod.
