Police prosecuted a Thai sex worker after a 70 year old Thai man was found dead at a love hotel in Nakhon Si Thammarat province in the southern part of Thailand.

Officers from Tung Yai Police Station were alerted to the man’s death at around 10pm last night and immediately rushed to investigate the scene along with volunteers from the Pu-in Tung Yai Rescue Team.

A member of the love hotel staff showed them to the room where the incident occurred and officers discovered the body of the 70 year old man named Chang on the bed. Chang was naked only for a towel wrapped around his wrist while his face had turned dark. No wounds were spotted on his body.

His blue cross-body bag was on a table near the bed. Books and cash of about 1,000 baht were discovered inside the bag. His motorcycle was still parked in front of the room.

The hotel worker explained that Chang arrived at the hotel at about 10.30am and booked a room for three hours. Shortly after, a woman rode a motorcycle into the hotel and went directly to Chang’s room. Both of them stayed inside the room until 12.30pm when the woman quickly rode off on her motorcycle.

Numerous attempts to reach Chang via phone were unsuccessful. As a result, the worker decided to enter the room and discovered that he had passed away.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered that Chang was a construction worker and arrived at work at 8am on the same day. He left his lunchbox at the site and rode his motorcycle away without informing any of the colleagues of his destination.

Police concluded that Chang passed away due to a heart attack after engaging in sexual intercourse with the woman, who was believed to be a sex worker due to Chang’s age. Then, the woman fled the scene out of fear of prosecution.

The officers reported that they knew the identity of the woman and had summoned her for further questioning and prosecution, but they did not specify the charges against her.

Chang’s family did not suspect any foul play and arranged for a religious funeral for him at a temple in the province.
