Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world for 2024, overtaking last year’s champion, Singapore Airlines, meanwhile, Bangkok Airways secured the title of the world’s best regional airline for the eighth consecutive year, according to Skytrax’s World Airline Awards.

Qatar Airways achieved the top spot in the annual rankings, while Singapore Airlines fell to second place. Emirates landed in the third position, followed by ANA All Nippon Airways in fourth, and Cathay Pacific in fifth.

These rankings are part of the World Airline Awards 2024, derived from the opinions of millions of passengers globally, surveyed by Skytrax, a renowned organisation that evaluates airline service quality worldwide.

Bangkok Airways, representing Thailand, improved its standing by two places, achieving the 27th position in the overall rankings while clinching the top spot for Asia’s best regional airline globally for the eighth consecutive year.

Thai Airways also made significant progress, moving up to the 33rd position from last year’s 40th spot. These awards reflect the evaluations of over 350 airlines worldwide, with the rankings considering the top 100 airlines. The World Airline Awards have been held annually since 1999.

The awards ceremony not only honours the leading airlines but also provides insight into the evolving landscape of the aviation industry, where customer service and overall flight experience are paramount.

The results are a testament to the dedication and efforts of these airlines to maintain high standards and continuously improve their services and Qatar Airways’ ascent to the top spot reflects its dedication to providing exceptional service, luxury, and convenience to its passengers, reported KhaoSod.

The competition among airlines remains fierce, with each striving to distinguish itself in various aspects. The World Airline Awards continues to serve as a benchmark for quality and customer satisfaction in the airline industry, influencing passengers’ choices and driving airlines to enhance their offerings.
