Phimai residents flock to lucky turtle for lottery numbers
Residents of Phimai district in Nakhon Ratchasima are abuzz with excitement as they continue to seek good fortune from a local turtle named Chao Chao Kuay. This turtle has reportedly brought luck for three consecutive lottery draws, prompting locals to offer flowers, incense, and candles in gratitude.
Chao Chao Kuay resides at house number 127, Moo 1, in the Nai Mueang subdistrict. Pranee Piangphimai, a 64 year old woman, shared that the turtle, a native species, appeared on the road in front of her house during the flood season.
Surprised by its appearance, she decided to take care of it, as turtles rarely venture onto the streets. The rising water levels in the nearby Chakrat River, a longboat racing site, likely pushed the turtle onto the road, seeking refuge from the floods.
Pranee chose to keep the turtle in a water jar behind her house, believing it to be a symbol of good luck. She applied powder to the turtle’s shell and was amazed to see numbers appear clearly. Testing her luck, she used these numbers in the lottery and won three times in a row. This news quickly spread, attracting curious locals eager to witness the phenomenon themselves, reported KhaoSod.
Recently, people have gathered again, bringing offerings of flowers, incense, and candles to pay their respects to Chao Chao Kuay. They continue to apply powder to its shell, hoping to discern numbers for the next lottery draw. The numbers spotted this time are 89 and 79, which they plan to use in upcoming lottery tickets, trusting Chao Chao Kuay’s streak of luck will persist.
In related news, residents flocked to the Mae Ya Krathong Shrine, a century-old sacred site, to seek lucky lottery numbers using the innocent touch of children to draw numbers from an urn. This time, the numbers drawn coincidentally matched popular ones, sparking hope for big wins.
