Pervy man arrested for selling spycam porn of women in restaurant bathroom
Police arrested a pervy Thai man for selling spycam pornography he secretly filmed inside the bathrooms of a restaurant in the northern province of Lamphun. This was the third time that the degenerate was arrested on spycam charges.
The Commissioner of the Provincial Police Region 5, Piya Tawichai, provided details of the arrest during a press conference today. Piya reported that a number of women filed a complaint at Mueang Lamphun Police Station that they were filmed while using a bathroom at Old Town Market restaurant in the Lamphun, and their videos were on sale in the application called VK under the account MIL (Mediafire In Love).
The Cyber Police conducted a further investigation into the account and found that the videos showed 27 women being compromised but only 14 had filed complaints with the police.
The police identified 29 year old Olarn Boonheng as the operator of the account responsible for the criminal incidents. Boonheng had been arrested twice last year for the same offence, according to law enforcement officials.
Police arrested Olarn at his house in Tak Province and seized the equipment he used to commit the crimes, including bank accounts, debit cards, small spy cameras, and laptops.
Olarn claimed that he did not take the videos of the women himself but bought them from other people and only acted as an administrator of the VK account. He added that he earned about 100,000 baht per month by offering the VIP membership.
The police believe that there may be more suspects involved in this case, and further investigations will be conducted to arrest everyone involved.
Two days ago, two sick Thai transwomen were arrested in Chon Buri and Khon Kaen for luring four boys aged 12 years old into making group-sex porn videos and selling them via Twitter and the LINE application. They offered memberships at 300 to 399 baht and gained over 260,000 followers.
