Recognising the vital role of promoting cultural growth and conservation, the Pattaya City Cultural Council recently launched the highly anticipated Pattaya City Visual Arts Contest 2024. With the vibrant theme, Pattaya: A Way of Colours, this contest is designed to ignite the creative passions of young and emerging artists from all walks of life.

Pattaya City Council President Banlue Kullavanijaya, who presided over the awards ceremony on July 13, stated that the contest serves as a platform for young talents to shine and express their creativity.

The competition, open to a wide array of participants, was divided into five categories: Lower Elementary School, Upper Elementary School, Lower Secondary School, Upper Secondary School and Vocational Certificate, Higher Vocational Certificate, University, and General Public. This inclusive approach ensured that budding artists of all ages had the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Judges for the contest were a prestigious group, including National Artists, Associate Professors, Professors, Deans of Art Institutes, and independent artists. Their discerning eyes evaluated and selected the best works displayed at Pattaya Beach, opposite Central Pattaya.

“The level of creativity and skill displayed by these young artists is truly remarkable. It’s inspiring to see such talent and dedication.”

The winning artworks will be exhibited for the public to admire, serving as a testament to the burgeoning talent within the community. This exhibition not only celebrates Pattaya’s unique cultural heritage but also plays a crucial role in fostering a new generation of Thai artists, reported Pattaya Mail.

In related news, the National Gallery in Bangkok invites you to, 200 Years Journey Through Thai Modern Art History, a spectacular exhibition running until August 31.
