A Thai woman took to social media to warn motorists in Bangkok after a disabled man threw a rock at her car while travelling on Banthat Thong Road on Sunday, July 28. Many netizens shared that this man committed the same crime in the Silom area.

The female driver shared the video of the disabled suspect attempting to flee from the scene in his wheelchair on her TikTok account, Reviewbyme89.

“Dangerous! A disabled man threw a rock at my car and tried to escape.”

The woman revealed more details: her car was damaged by the rock throwing but the disabled man denied his actions even though some rocks remained on his wheelchair. He also refused to compensate the woman who added she was lucky that the rock did not go through her car window and injure her.

The woman called police to the scene where the suspect admitted his action. He confessed that he threw a rock at her car because he was stressed and moody. She insisted that she never argued with or met this man in person before.

The victim later shared another video when she was with the suspect at the police station for further legal proceedings. Some netizens criticised her for taking a legal step against a disabled person while others urged her not to proceed with the case to the utmost.

Many Thai TikTokers shared in the comment section that they met this man before in the Silom neighbourhood of Bangkok. He was a lottery seller and a beggar. Other netizens claimed that he was also addicted to gambling.

The woman later revealed in the comments that the man committed similar crimes multiple times over the past five years but the court did not prosecute him because of his disability.

She added that the man looked poor and pitiful but he did not have a difficult life and more than enough money to pay the compensation she requested. However, he did not face any legal punishment for his actions.
