70 year old woman told to leave concert due to leg pain (video)

A 70 year old woman attended a Lamyai Haithongkham concert at Sanam Luang but was unexpectedly asked to leave by security after requesting a brief sit down due to leg pain.

A young woman intervened to assist her. The incident, yesterday, April 15, captured by TikTok user @mamprapa, led to numerous discussions online.

In the shared video, the elderly woman, holding a walking stick, was seen dancing near the concert stage. The post’s caption described her enthusiasm.

“This 70 year old is still dancing, enjoying the Songkran festival at Sanam Luang. She came alone to see Lamyai. Seeing her dance, we invited her to join us, and she brought her walking stick along.”

As the concert proceeded, the woman continued to dance energetically with the group. The post further explained, “Elderly people often experience body pain, including arms, legs, ankles, and knees.

Typically, security stands outside the fence. It seems she wanted to sit down, but due to the loud music, it was unclear what was discussed. However, what was clearly heard was a security guard telling her, ‘If you can’t stand, just go back.’ So, we approached her and reassured her that she could sit right there without worry.”

This post garnered significant attention, prompting various comments about security personnel’s behaviour at events. While many shared experiences of inappropriate conduct, there were also mentions of considerate security members. The netizens praised the TikTok user for stepping in to assist the elderly concertgoer, rpeorted KhaoSod.
