Chachoengsao student dies in motorcycle crash with parked truck

A 20 year old student tragically lost his life in a road accident after leaving school for a dental appointment. Riding his motorcycle, he collided with a parked four-wheel truck in Khlong Khuean district, Chachoengsao province, yesterday, February 4.

Officers from Khlong Khuean Police Station were alerted to a collision involving a motorcycle and a small four-wheel truck on the road along the irrigation canal in front of a bamboo shop. Upon arriving, they discovered the parked truck and a damaged white and orange PCX motorcycle nearby.

The student, identified as Pongsak Butsari, known as Oat, had sustained a head injury and a deformed right leg.

A friend of the Pongsak revealed that he was a second-year vocational student at a technical college in Chachoengsao. He had taken leave from his afternoon classes for a dental extraction.

Sadly, he was on his way back when the accident occurred. Pongsak was due to graduate in February and had plans to ordain as a monk for his mother in April. Friends expressed their sorrow over his untimely death.

Supachai, a 46 year old truck owner, stated he had parked the vehicle outside the shop for over two hours due to a delivery. He was not present during the accident as he was making deliveries. Returning after the incident, he discovered the tragedy.

Lamjuan, a 42 year old eyewitness, mentioned she did not witness the crash but heard a loud noise while waiting for customers. Shocked, she rushed to the scene and immediately called emergency services.

Passing motorcyclists stopped to assist but noted that the victim’s condition was critical. Lamjuan remains shaken by the incident, reported KhaoSod.

Police are now gathering evidence from the scene to proceed with legal action.

In similar news, a collision involving a cement-laden trailer, an unmarked police car, and a steel-carrying trailer resulted in three injuries and two fatalities.
