Magical Family Festivities
This year, The Peninsula Bangkok celebrates the start of the festive season with the Christmas tree lighting ceremony on November 27, welcoming distinguished guests, including members of the diplomatic corps, and key business and media partners.
At the heart of The Lobby stands an 18-foot-tall Canadian spruce, beautifully adorned with timeless elegance, alongside a stunning two-metre-high advent calendar that captures the spirit of Christmas and its cherished traditions.
The Peninsula Bangkok is delighted to present enchanting experiences for families during the Christmas season. One of the highlights is the Advent Calendar Evenings, taking place every evening from December 1 to 24 at 5pm. Guests are warmly invited to gather in the lobby for the unveiling of a new window on the spectacular advent calendar, enhancing the festive spirit and joy.
Children can look forward to discovering a treasure trove of chocolates, sweets, and toys, while adults can savour a warming cup of Glühwein (mulled wine). The festive atmosphere is enhanced by whimsical characters from the advent calendar’s illustrations, including the Reindeer, the Red Robin, the Gingerbread Man, the Nutcracker, and a surprise visit from Santa Claus.
The hotel’s signature Afternoon Tea is also tailored specially for children and families during the holiday season. Set against the backdrop of the beautifully decorated Canadian spruce tree and accompanied by live piano renditions of holiday tunes, the Festive Afternoon Tea features a selection of traditional savoury and sweet delights crafted by Chef Jimmy Boulay and his team.
The Festive Afternoon Tea is served daily at the lobby from 2 to 6pm between December 1 and 30, priced at 1,288+ baht per person, 2,188+ baht for two, or 2,988+ baht for two, including a glass of Peninsula Champagne per person.
