Rotary Club’s golf tournament raises 700,000 baht for charity
The Rotary Club of Bangkok South proudly hosted its 36th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, on Thursday, March 20, at Thana City Golf and Country Club. Supported by Evian, the event sponsor, 28 teams and 140 players joined for a day of camaraderie, competition, and charitable giving, helping the club raise just under 700,000 baht for its charitable projects.
The event was a tremendous success, reinforcing the club’s commitment to community service and making a meaningful impact in Thailand.
Held at Thana City Golf and Country Club on a beautiful, somewhat cool day, the tournament was an opportunity to raise crucial funds for our ongoing humanitarian initiatives aimed primarily at helping underprivileged children around the Kingdom.
Philippe D’Acquet, Chairman of the Golf Committee of the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, commended the support of the event’s sponsors, participants, volunteers, and organisers, who continued to fund essential programmes, including education scholarships for underprivileged children, drinking water systems, and community development projects.
“We are thrilled with the turnout and the overwhelming support we received for this year’s tournament. It was fantastic to see so many players and sponsors coming together for a great cause. The enthusiasm and generosity displayed truly embody the spirit of Rotary.”
