24 legendary football icons set to showcase their golf swing at Reignwood Park

The special golf tournament, Reignwood Icons of Football, is ready to take centre stage, running grandly from January 31 to February 1 at Robinswood Golf Club, located within Reignwood Park, a world-class lifestyle community for all generations in Lam Luk Ka, Pathum Thani. This event marks another major milestone for Asian sport, featuring a globally broadcast golf competition where iconic football legends step into the role of professional golfers.

The competition will see Team England, captained by Danny Willett, take on Team World, led by Thomas Bjørn, in an intense match-play golf format.

This special tournament reimagines familiar legendary rivalries in a new context, as former adversaries join forces as teammates, competing in a fast-paced and highly intense 10-hole match-play format.

To further raise the stakes, participating football icons will face a swing challenge valued at US$10 million, officially recognised as “the most valuable hole in golf.” This bonus scoring hole will be contested on Saturday, with each player showcasing their swing in front of fans.

Should any icon achieve a hole-in-one, it would represent the largest prize ever awarded in the history of golf, offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make sporting history.

Beyond the on-course action, the event has been elevated into a full-scale entertainment festival, welcoming thousands of fans to Reignwood Park for a weekend of enjoyment.
