ICONSIAM celebrates Pride with fashion shows, concerts, and Pride market
ICONSIAM, a global landmark along the Chao Phraya River, is officially launching the “ICONSIAM Pride Out Loud” campaign, along with opening the space for diversity, the “Pride Market,” featuring spectacular fashion shows, mini-concerts, and creatively crafted products from Pride-centric stores, catering to customers of all genders, ages, and ethnicities. This celebration promises an experience filled with the colourful spectrum of pride, unity, and diversity at Suralai Hall, 7th floor, ICONSIAM.
Suma Wongphan, Executive Vice President of ICONSIAM Company Limited, said, “As a Global Destination, ICONSIAM has always supported equality and diversity in all forms and has annually celebrated Pride Month. This year, we are particularly proud to present the ‘ICONSIAM Pride Out Loud’ campaign, focusing on honouring and celebrating the value inherent in the diverse LGBTQIAN+ community. We aim to provide a variety of activities and entertainment for customers of all genders, ages, and ethnicities to come together and celebrate an experience filled with pride.” The “Pride Market” is one of the highlighted activities, combining various entertainment facets including fashion shows, mini-concerts, and exclusive shopping experiences from special stores. We hope this event contributes to continuously driving social inclusivity and equality, in line with ICONSIAM’s commitment to becoming a space of genuine diversity and community for all.”
Moreover, the launch day of the “ICONSIAM Pride Out Loud” event and the opening of the Pride Market have garnered interest from renowned artists who joined in the celebration of diversity. These include Rusameekae Fagerlund, Tue – Sombatsara Teerasaroch, Silvy – Pavida Moriggi, Yoshi – Rinrada Thurapan, Bunrod Arreewong, Tongta Jamroenjai, Jimmy- Pikanet Sukyik and Maeya Sunsun, among others. The event was packed with a variety of activities, including fashion shows, Thai fabric exhibitions, jewellery, and bag showcases by famous designers from ICONCRAFT, as well as special collections curated to celebrate Pride Month under the name “Limitless” from the brand Collector Project designed by Ek Thongprasert, featuring runway shows led by ‘Bruze’ Kachisarah Sridakhot and ‘Jessie’ Jesselyn Nakprasit, the two beautiful contestants from Miss Tiffany’s Universe, along with LGBTQ+ models, with a mini-concert from Ton Thanasit and Pure The Voice.
The ‘Pride Market’ took place on June 7 – 8, 2024, at Suralai Hall, 7th floor, ICONSIAM, offering a colourful addition to the festivities of Pride Month. On June 8, 2024, attendees enjoyed purchasing creatively crafted products from various stores and also experienced a mini-concert by the renowned artist Gene Kasidit, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Furthermore, during Pride Month, ICONSIAM will host several other engaging activities to celebrate the diverse LGBTQ+ community, including the Pride Out Loud Exhibition, showcasing successful individuals from various professions. This exhibition is free to attend until June 30, located at the Walkway, M Floor. Additionally, there’s ‘The Proud Reflexions Exhibition,’ the first of its kind in Thailand, displaying special art collections from LGBTQ+ artists such as Rainbow Kido and LGBTQ-friendly artist “Poriin”, located at Chareon Nakhon Hall M Floor, from today to June 18, 2024, and from today to June 16, 2024, explore Exclusive Collection for Pride Month By Ek Thongprasert, where the designer has brought the hand-woven cotton fabric from Ban Suan Po, Roi Et Province which features the uniqueness of 7 colours of Pha Kao Mah, designed as a special collection, which focuses on creating awareness, acceptance, and openness of gender and physicality, available on the 4th Floor, ICONCRAFT.
For those who enjoy photography and creating content, do not miss the Rainbow Walkway at the entrances of ICONSIAM and ICS, the walkway connecting the BTS station, and the Chareon Nakhon Hall M Floor. Additionally, there’s a rainbow waterfall on the Alangkarn Zone 6th Floor and the ‘ICONIC Multimedia Water Features’ showcasing a mesmerizing blend of lights, colours, sounds, and multimedia in the longest rainbow-themed show in Southeast Asia. This show runs three times daily at 19:00, 20:00, and 21:00 at River Park, adding to the immersive experience of “ICONSIAM Pride Out Loud”. ICONSIAM’s Pride Month celebrations promise an inclusive and vibrant experience for all attendees, showcasing the spirit of unity, diversity, and pride.
