A brutal crime unfolded in Udon Thani, Thailand after a 56 year old man allegedly stabbed his 33 year old stepson to death in a fit of rage over the disappearance of two fighting cocks in their family home. The victim, Nookraisak Saikhao, was found lying lifeless in a pool of blood on his bed by his ex-wife, who immediately reported the incident to authorities. The alleged murderer, Sanguanchai Srisith, expressed his remorse after the incident and later surrendered himself to the police.

At the crime scene, police found a large number of fighting cock cages and noted that the house was a mess, with blood splattered all over the room. The primary weapon in the vicious attack, a sharp, 30-centimetre-long knife, was also discovered. According to Sanguanchai, he truly loved his stepson, having lived with him and his mother for over ten years, but felt compelled to defend himself in that moment of heated argument. He claims that Nookraisak was a drug user and that there were numerous weapons in the house, reported KhaoSod.

Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Sanguanchai had two wives and had built an elevated house on the family land, where he and Nookraisak lived. Nookraisak ‘s ex-wife stated that after dinner that night, Sanguanchai insisted on going to the house to feed the fighting cocks. Although she disagreed with his decision, she accompanied him to the house as she normally would. She sat in the car when she overheard the altercation. Sanguanchai then approached the car, saying he would take full responsibility for his actions before driving home.

Sanguanchai now faces the charge of “intentional murder” and remains in police custody as legal proceedings unfold.

Yesterday, police in San Kamphaeng, Chiang Mai province, apprehended all four suspects involved in a brutal attack that left a 16 year old boy killed.

The investigators have completed the arrest of the gang members, including 24 year old Thanakorn, who is accused of stabbing the victim. The deceased had been attending a traditional dance event with his girlfriend and friends when a conflict ensued with the assailant. To read more click HERE
