In a shocking turn of events, a 22 year old Thai gunman, known as Jeans, admitted to fatally shooting a 16 year old technical student, known as Phu. Jeans, who was apprehended following the incident, revealed that the victim was a stranger to him and that the confrontation was merely a result of a night of drinking and an impromptu decision to cause trouble.

According to the Thai gunman, before the fatal incident, he and two of his friends, known as Om and Off, had been drinking together. Following their drinking session, they decided to ride on two motorcycles, with Jeans riding alone, while Om drove with Off as his passenger.

Their destination was to stir up trouble with a group that the deceased was part of, due to Jeans’ previous affiliation with an educational institute on the Thon side, which was at odds with the institution the deceased was part of.

Upon arrival at the scene of the incident, they encountered Phu walking by the roadside. Shortly after, one of Phu’s friends arrived on a motorcycle and invited Phu to ride with him. This coincided with the arrival of the troublemakers, who then initiated a confrontation with Phu’s group.

During the ensuing argument and physical fight, Phu drew a knife and stabbed Off, prompting Jeans to respond by firing a close-range shot, which resulted in Phu’s demise.

Following the incident, Jeans and the injured Off fled the scene and sought refuge in the Thon area. They were later apprehended by the investigative team within Soi Charansanitwong 3, intersection 5. Jeans maintained that his intention had only been to stir up trouble, not to resort to shooting.

However, he felt compelled to use his firearm when a knife was drawn during the scuffle. He insisted that he had no prior acquaintance with Phu’s group, reported KhaoSod.
