Future Vibes and Insomniac confirm long-term commitment to EDC Thailand
The collaboration aims to position Phuket as Asia’s leading music festival destination
Future Vibes (Thailand), in collaboration with Insomniac, the global entertainment company behind Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC), one of the world’s largest and most influential electronic music festivals, has reaffirmed a long-term commitment to Thailand. The initiative strengthens Phuket’s position as a global destination for music, culture, and high-value tourism, while reinforcing Thailand’s role on the international festival map.
Building on the overwhelming success of its debut edition in 2025, EDC Thailand is advancing under a five-year strategic roadmap (2026 to 2030) with the ambition of establishing Thailand as one of Asia’s leading destinations for electronic music.
The long-term initiative is projected to generate more than 12.5 billion Thai baht in economic value and attract over 460,000 international visitors during the five years, while increasing Phuket’s tourism arrivals in January by more than 25%.
Speaking at the press conference, Nopmanus Sungkasap, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Future Vibes Thailand, said that EDC Thailand is designed as a long-term platform rather than a one-off event. He noted that more than 50,000 international visitors attended the inaugural edition, with average spending of approximately 50,000 Thai baht per person, creating tangible economic value across Phuket and Thailand.
He added that the 2026 edition will further strengthen local economic participation and environmental responsibility through collaboration with community partners and waste-reduction initiatives.
EDC Thailand 2026: Bigger, brighter, and more immersive than ever
EDC Thailand 2026 will take place from January 16 to 18, 2026 at Rhythm Park, Phuket, under the official theme “Bigger, Brighter, and More Immersive Than Ever.” The festival will expand significantly in scale, production, and experience, delivering full-scale EDC Las Vegas production to Thailand for the first time.
The Main Event will feature multiple world-renowned stages, including kineticFIELD, the iconic heart of EDC and a continuously evolving space of light and sound; circuitGROUNDS, known for massive LED walls and dramatic fire effects; stereoBLOOM, showcasing diverse electronic genres; bionicJUNGLE, a vibrant house-music stage set within a lush environment; and the roaming boombox Art Car, a sound experience supporting local and regional artists.
Beyond the stages, EDC Thailand 2026 will double in scale, transforming Rhythm Park into a vast immersive wonderland. At the centre of this expansion is Downtown EDC, a cultural hub offering Thailand-exclusive experiences that blend global EDM culture with the unique spirit of Phuket. Key features include Center Tower, the Wedding Chapel, Kandi Casino, Diva Show, and Karaoke Battle, introducing playful, interactive, and culturally distinctive elements to the festival.
The festival will also introduce Binary Beach, a space for the soul and a sanctuary inspired by the Sea Anemone that celebrates individuality, flow, and reflection through music and design. This new zone features the Mini Tropical Stage, Ya-Dong Bar, Workshop Zone, and Wellness Area, alongside a wide range of art installations across areas such as Daisy Fields, Bamboo Village, and Pixel Forest.
Sustainability, community, and national impact
EDC Thailand 2026 places sustainability and collaboration at the core of its long-term vision. The festival will work closely with government agencies, private-sector partners, and local communities to ensure responsible event management, efficient logistics, and minimal environmental impact.
Initiatives include community-based waste reduction programs and the creation of local employment opportunities across hospitality, transportation, production, and event services.
