Arctic Monkeys’ Bangkok gig sure to ‘look good on the dancefloor’
British Indie rock stars Arctic Monkeys promise to “look good on the dancefloor” in Bangkok this week as part of their Asia 2023 tour. And the Sheffield indie rockers plan to shake the foundations of Bitec Hall, Bang Na-Trat Road, on Thursday at 6pm on the fourth leg of their Asia tour.
The four-piece kicked off in Singapore before heading to the Philippines last night. After Thailand, the band heads to Japan, and Indonesia.
Presented by Very Company, the Arctic Monkeys Live In Bangkok concert promises to be an unforgettable night filled with head-banging, foot-tapping, and all-round good vibes. The Bitec Hall on Bang Na-Trat Road will be the place to be on Thursday.
Fans in Singapore and Hong Kong reported the setlist featured a mix of old and new tracks, including old classics such as Brianstorm and I Bet You Look Good on The Dance Floor.
Bandwagon Asia reported the band members’ immaculate styling and the gig had a rather vintage looking feel to it.
The Arctic Monkeys were founded in 2002 but burst onto the music scene in 2006.
Their debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That’s What I’m Not (2006), became the fastest-selling debut album in UK chart history, and has been hailed as one of the greatest debut albums. They went on to release several further successful studio albums.
Arctic Monkeys may have started out handing out demo CDs at gigs and gaining a following on MySpace, but they are now a force to be reckoned with in the music industry.
After an extended hiatus, during which the band members pursued solo careers, Arctic Monkeys resurfaced in 2018 with their loungey album Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino. And now, with the release of their seventh studio album, The Car, it seems they are back, bigger and better than ever.
Most tickets to the show were sold out but a limited number are still available at 6,000 baht.
