This small school allows students a chance to discover themselves, their relationship with friends and family and how they are connected to the world around them in a fun and safe environment. Families have long been attracted to Shining Stars for providing an opportunity for children to sing, dance, and play pretend. All while learning foundational letters and math, eating healthy and delicious home-cooked meals, and exploring their creativity. Another large part of why families return to Shining Stars is the small class sizes and favourable student-to-teach ratio. Small class sizes are necessary for teachers to give support to each student’s individualized needs while providing an intimate learning experience.

Shining Stars arranges time each week for kids to develop and improve their bodies through yoga as part of the curriculum. Yoga for Kids is a program that helps children connect their physical, mental, and emotional selves. Students can improve their practice by participating in physically invigorating games, strengthening and stillness pose and ending with a meditation practice.

Shining Stars Pre-school

With a thirteen year-long history on the island, Shining Stars students continue to thrive through all the uncertainties of a worldwide pandemic. Although the world around them is ever-changing, children need a space where there is consistency, attention, stability and trust-building through co-learning activities with their peers and teachers.
