A woman gave birth inside an ambulance while being rushed to a hospital in Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. The incident occurred on Rojana Road near the Uthai-Bang Pa-in intersection. Volunteers from the Phutthaisawan Foundation, who were assisting the woman, revealed that this particular ambulance had seen six births before, all of which coincided with lottery wins.

The event took place in the early hours of today. Amornthip Huipan from Kanchanaburi went into labour while being transported to Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital. She gave birth to a healthy boy weighing 3 kilograms at 2.30am, much to the delight of her family and the foundation’s volunteers.

While en route to the hospital, Amornthip’s condition deteriorated, leading to an emergency delivery inside the ambulance. Sakorn expressed her relief and joy at the safe delivery of her nephew, especially since it was Amornthip’s first pregnancy.

Siwakul Puin, a volunteer at the Phutthaisawan Foundation, recounted the sequence of events. He was on duty at the foundation’s Utai base when a car pulled up, seeking help for a woman in labour.

After assessing the situation, the team decided to transport her to the hospital. However, just 700 metres into the journey, Amornthip’s condition necessitated an immediate stop. The volunteers found her cervix fully dilated and the baby’s head crowning. They proceeded with the delivery according to their training and coordinated with Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Hospital’s emergency team.
