A man stabbed another man on Pattaya’s Jomtien Beach in the early hours of yesterday morning. Witnesses said the man stabbed the victim, 34 year old Narintorn, over a dispute about Narintorn talking too loudly.

The witnesses said that Narintorn had been drinking on the beach when a man who had been sleeping in a tent walked out of the tent and told Narintorn to talk more quietly. Narintorn responded by aggressively telling the man to mind his own business, the witnesses said. They said the man then pulled out a knife and stabbed Narintorn.

Rescuers found Narintorn in a pool of blood with a wound to his chest. They rushed him to a nearby hospital. The suspect had fled the scene and is still on the loose. Pattaya police plan to review CCTV footage to find the suspect, who is believed to be homeless.

This is not the first time a noise dispute has ended in violence in Thailand. In July, a Chon Buri man claimed that he had shot and killed his stepson in a fit of rage over his loud music.

After the latest violent incident on Jomtien Beach, hopefully, Narintorn will recover soon, and police will find the suspect.
