Man killed, woman hurt in Chiang Mai domestic clash

A brutal domestic incident left one man dead and a woman severely injured in a Chiang Mai rental room. The confrontation unfolded when a man returned from work and discovered his girlfriend with another man, which led to a violent attack involving a stabbing that resulted in one fatality and one serious injury. Police Lieutenant Colonel Kewaleesiri Psukthanapaisarn, an investigator at the Doi Saket Police Station, was alerted to the crime at 12.20am yesterday, March 6.

Upon arriving at the scene in Mae Kue, Doi Saket District, police found the body of Chai, a 45 year old local, with multiple stab wounds and blunt force trauma. The injured party, Wa, a 27 year old woman from Sop Moei, Mae Hong Son, sustained a broken jaw and was receiving medical treatment, unable to provide a statement. Initial inquiries suggested that the deceased man and the injured woman were romantically involved and cohabiting in the room where the tragedy occurred, reported KhaoSod.

The enraged boyfriend, upon his shocking discovery, engaged in the assault before fleeing the scene. Police, alongside medical personnel, conducted a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death. The body was transported to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for further forensic investigation. The police, in cooperation with forensic experts from Chiang Mai Province, meticulously examined the crime scene as part of the ongoing investigation to establish the full narrative and pursue legal proceedings.
