Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau officers raided a renowned beauty clinic, arresting a 31 year old medical assistant, identified as Urairat. Today, she was caught operating an illegal Botox and skin whitening injection operation on the premises located in Sukkasem Road, Tha Taphao, Chumphon. The suspect revealed that she had learnt the injection procedure from a doctor and initially practised on her relatives before starting the service for customers.

The illegal botox operation raid, led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Phumipat Phatrasriwongchai, seized 92 syringes, three syringe needles, 116 injection needles, and an aluminium box for storing medical injection tools from the beauty salon. Also confiscated were two bottles of alcohol for cleaning, a box of medical examination gloves, a used 200-unit Botox bottle without Thai labels, and a used syringe with a needle, which had been used on an undercover officer.

The sting operation was initiated following advertisements of cosmetic surgery services on a Facebook account named Tang Oh Beauty (Facial, Cream Selling). An undercover agent contacted the account to request Botox services.

Upon agreement, the agent, accompanied by the police, visited the salon. As the undercover agent received the Botox service, an officer made a payment of 3000 baht via a QR code scan to Urairat’s account. This confirmed the illegal botox operation, leading to the immediate arrest of Urairat and the seizure of the mentioned items.

Urairat confessed that the seized items belonged to her, used for providing cosmetic surgery services to her clients. She had previously worked in a beauty clinic as a medical assistant, where she observed the procedure of Botox and skin whitening injections.

After practising with her relatives and gaining confidence, she began offering her services to customers. However, Urairat only possessed a beauty salon license, lacking any medical professional license, hospital operation license, or modern medicine sales license.

Initially, the police charged Urairat with operating a hospital without permission, conducting medical procedures without a license, practising medicine without a license, selling modern medicine without a permit, and selling unregistered prescription drugs. She is now under the custody of Chumphon City Police Station for legal proceedings, reported KhaoSod.
