Police apprehended a 50 year old Thai woman at a clubhouse in Sukhumvit 31, Khlong Tan Nuea, Watthana district, Bangkok for allegedly stealing luxury items from her uncle, a judge. The stolen items, which include Hermes bags and diamond earrings, are valued at approximately 3.65 million baht.

The incident came to light after the judge reported the theft to Mueang Phuket Police Station, suspecting initially that his driver was the culprit.

The stolen goods comprised a black crocodile skin Hermes bag valued at 800,000 baht, a blue Hermes Mini Bolide Croc bag at 800,000 baht, a red Chanel Boy bag at 300,000 baht, a green Chanel bag at 150,000 baht, and a pair of diamond Hermes earrings worth 1.6 million baht.

Pawarana, who holds dual Thai and American citizenship and works as a freelance marketing services consultant, admitted to the crime.

She explained her actions stemmed from a fondness for collecting handbags and financial difficulties, leading her to sell her uncle’s belongings for quick cash, reported KhaoSod.

The arresting officers subsequently charged her and took her to the Metropolitan Police Bureau’s Investigation Division 5 to document the arrest. She will be transferred to the Phuket Provincial Court for legal proceedings.
