Seahorse Ferry relaunches Pattaya to Samui route
After a four-month hiatus, the Seahorse Ferry Company is finally ready to set sail again, resuming its weekly service between Sattahip and Koh Samui from Thursday, February 16. After a temporary pause for essential repairs and maintenance shortly after launching, the ferry is now back in business and ready to welcome passengers on board once again.
If you’re planning a trip between Samui and its surrounding islands and the Pattaya area, the Seahorse Ferry offers an exciting way to travel. With a comfortable and spacious interior, as well as many facilities and amenities on offer, travellers can travel more comfortably than by train or bus.
The ferry journey takes approximately 12 hours in each direction, with a planned departure time of 5pm from Pattaya and 4pm from Samui. The estimated arrival time at the destination port is 8am, allowing passengers to start their day refreshed and ready to explore. The ferry’s schedule takes into account the time required for loading and offloading at each port, which is budgeted at between 1 and 1.5 hours.
The ship is offering a range of seating options that cater to all budgets and preferences. From basic reclining seats to capsule beds and even first-class private quarters that are practically hotel rooms, there’s something for everyone. The prices for these options vary, but it is estimated that rooms are about 3,000 baht for the overnight journey.
Facilities and amenities on the ferry are far above a standard Thai ferry. Facilities on the ferry include a restaurant, spa, and massage services. Plus, if you’re looking for entertainment, the ferry has a bar, karaoke bar, and disco that offer a lively and fun atmosphere. The ferry is also equipped with two levels of car parking, making it easy and convenient to transport vehicles like cars or motorbikes.
