A tragic road accident involving a pickup truck and a motorcycle claimed the lives of two 14 year old children and seriously injured a 12 year old girl. The pickup driver fled the scene after the unfortunate Chon Buri accident, leaving behind a horrifying scene of crushed bodies. The incident occurred around 5am today, on the agricultural road to Bo Thong district in Chon Buri province.

Upon receiving the news, Deputy Inspector Vorrath Taveesuk of Bo Thong Police Station, along with an ambulance from Bo Thong Hospital and volunteer rescuers, rushed to the scene. They found two victims, a boy and a girl, both 14 years old, with severe injuries caused by the truck’s wheels. Despite immediate rescue efforts, both teenagers succumbed to their injuries at the scene.

Another victim, a 12 year old girl, was found unconscious by the roadside. She was promptly given initial medical treatment by the rescuers and rushed to Bo Thong Hospital for further treatment. Her injuries included a severe wound on her left kneecap and a deformed lower left leg.

Eyewitnesses from the local community reported seeing a bronze-coloured pickup truck driving from Prok Fha towards Bo Thong district. After hitting the motorcycle, the truck dragged it along the road. The motorcyclist and the pillion rider were left unconscious in the middle of the road. The truck then made a U-turn back to the accident scene, seemingly to inspect the situation, but then disappeared.

The injured girl, identified as 12 year old Bee (pseudonym), later recounted that she and her friends were riding a motorcycle from their home in Lam Phuk, Wat Suwan district, to a petrol station. She could not recall the Chon Buri accident and only remembered lying by the roadside when she regained consciousness, reported KhaoSod.

Upon further investigation, a bronze Toyota Tiger 4-door pickup truck, with the license plate Kor Bor 2910 Chon Buri, was found abandoned on the road, facing towards Bo Thong district. The front right side of the truck was damaged, but the driver was nowhere to be found. The police are now tracking down the owner of the vehicle for further questioning and legal proceedings.
