How to claim your cash in Thailand’s co-pay wallet scheme
Eligible users can unlock benefits by funding their digital wallet
Thailand’s co-pay scheme returns, allowing eligible users to start spending via the Paotang app after topping up their G Wallet through various methods.
Thailand’s popular co-payment scheme Khon La Khrueng Plus is back, and eligible users can start spending from tomorrow, October 29, through the Paotang app.
But before cashing in on the perks, beneficiaries must first top up their G Wallets. Here’s everything you need to know to get started and make the most of the government’s wallet-friendly programme.
Participants who have successfully registered for the scheme must fund their G Wallet via the Paotang app to begin using the subsidy with registered vendors. The spending period runs from October 29 to December 31, and transactions are permitted daily from 6am to 10pm.

There are four ways to top up your G Wallet:
1. Mobile Banking
Use your bank’s mobile app and enter your 15-digit G Wallet ID. Select the Top-Up/Transfer or e-Wallet option, choose the amount, and confirm the transfer.
2. Krungthai Bank Account
If you bank with Krungthai, the Paotang app offers multiple ways to top up:
-
Banner Paotang Pay: Select Top-Up G Wallet, enter the amount, and confirm using your PIN.
-
Krungthai NEXT: Navigate via the banner or logo, log in, input the amount, and complete with your PIN.
-
Other Bank Logos: Similar steps apply when using the Krungthai NEXT app to connect with linked bank accounts.
3. QR Code
Generate a QR code via the Paotang app, then scan it using any bank’s mobile app. Enter the desired amount and confirm the transaction.
4. ATM
Visit any major bank ATM, select e-Wallet or PromptPay, input your G Wallet ID, choose your amount, and confirm using your ATM card (only Krungthai-issued cards are accepted).

For new users, setting up a G Wallet requires logging into Paotang, accepting the terms, and completing a facial scan. Existing users who haven’t logged in recently must also agree to the latest terms before proceeding, according to KhaoSod.
Once topped up, the G Wallet can be used to pay for goods and services at registered vendors nationwide under the co-payment scheme, where the government subsidises part of your purchases.
