The Bangkok Open-Air Film Festival is the place to be if you’re looking for films, music, and fun under the stars, all for free! The festival is taking place every Saturday and Sunday from January 4 to 19 at different venues.
Since it’s Children’s Day on Saturday, January 11, the spotlight is on the Dutch film Sea Sparkle, which will be shown with Thai subtitles. Kids will love short films like Walking with Dinosaurs and Storage Room, which were created by elementary school students. There’ll be live performances by NUTS and IMAGICA, and to top it off, a concert by La-Ong-Fong.
Sunday, January 12, brings something for the grown-ups. The evening starts with RedLife, a film that competed at the Tokyo Film Festival, shown with English subtitles. After the screening, there’s a talk with the director and actors, plus a live concert by AUTTA and Samanchan Band.
